GE Shipping gains as arm takes delivery of PSV ‘Greatship Prachi’

GE Shipping is currently trading at Rs. 350.55, up by 10.65 points or 3.13% from its previous closing of Rs. 339.90 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 343.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 350.55 and Rs. 342.10 respectively. So far 1899 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 467.00 on 16-Sep-2014 and a 52 week low of Rs. 283.15 on 11-Feb-2014.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 362.00 and Rs. 326.75 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 5217.64 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 30.45% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 40.65% and 28.69% respectively.

Greatship India, wholly owned subsidiary of Great Eastern Shipping Company (GE Shipping) has taken delivery of a 2015-built Platform Supply Vessel ‘Greatship Prachi’ of about 4000 dwt. Greatship Prachi is a DP2 vessel, capable of supporting offshore exploration and production and complies with the SPS code 2008.

With the delivery of Greatship Prachi, GIL and its subsidiaries currently own and operate five PSVs, nine AHTSVs, two MPSSVs, six ROVSVs and three Jack up rigs and have one mobile offshore self-elevating Jack up rig under construction in UAE.
