Steel Authority of India (SAIL) has reported results for third quarter ended December 31, 2014.
The company has registered a rise of 8.73% in its net profit at Rs 579.09 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 532.60 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the company decreased marginally by 1.84% at Rs 11452.53 crore for Q3FY15 as compared Rs 11667.52 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
SAIL is India's largest steel producing company. The company is among the five Maharatnas of the country's Central Public Sector Enterprises. The company has five integrated steel plants, three special plants, and one subsidiary in different parts of the country.
