Bharti Airtel trades higher on the bourses

Bharti Airtel is currently trading at Rs. 386.10, up by 25.00 points or 6.92% from its previous closing of Rs. 361.10 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 366.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 392.95 and Rs. 358.30 respectively. So far 20,65,000 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 444.70 on 01-Aug-2011 and a 52 week low of Rs. 304.25 on 02-Feb-2011.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 392.95 and Rs. 354.60 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 1,46,662.00 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 68.50% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 25.70% and 5.81% respectively.

Bharti Airtel, a leading global telecommunications company with operations in 19 countries across Asia and Africa, launched new name tunes service called ‘Your Name Your Tune'. With the help of this service, Airtel mobile customers can personalize their Hello Tune with their own name.

The mobile users can stamp their caller tune with their own identity by following a simple process that allows them to search and set their name as their Hello Tune. 

Recently, Bharti Airtel has launched 3.75G technology in Zambia. With this customers will be able to experience high speed mobile broadband access, make video calls and watch television live.
