Asian markets end mostly in green on Tuesday

The Asian indices ended mostly in green on Tuesday, despite talks between Greece and its creditors broke down, setting the stage for some volatility ahead of the Chinese New Year holidays that start this week. Taiwan Stock Exchange was closed on account of trading holiday. Singapore’s economy grew more strongly than initially estimated in the final quarter of last year as manufacturing improved, but the country’s outlook for this year remained modest at 2% to 4% in the face of an uneven global recovery. The Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) stated that the country’s economy grew by 2.9% in 2014. Annualized growth came in at 4.9% in the September-October quarter from the previous three months when the economy expanded 2.6%. That was three times the government's initial estimate of 1.6% growth. Hong Kong Unemployment Rate remained unchanged at a seasonally adjusted 3.3%, from 3.3% in the preceding month.
