Physical rubber prices after remaining unchanged for the last two days declined on Thursday, mainly due to the lack of buying in different grades. The decline in domestic and international futures too weighed on the prices.
Spot prices for RSS-4 variety closed at Rs 187/kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 189/kg; while the RSS-5 variety closed at Rs 183/kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 184/kg.
In the futures market, the contract of RSS-4 for February delivery closed at Rs 188.72 compared to its previous closing of Rs 189.89, while the contract for March delivery closed at Rs 192.53 compared to its previous closing of Rs 193.77, on the National Multi Commodity Exchange.
