Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Prabhat Jha expressed the hope that Madhya Pradesh Governor Ram Naresh Yadav, who is under the scanner over the Vyapam scam, would very soon take a final call on whether to resign or not and added that he have no doubt about his intelligence. He himself will take the decision of what needs to be done. Whether to resign or not he has to take a call. They believe that Governor knows what to do.

Senior lawyer K.T.S. Tulsi alleged that the Madhya Pradesh Governor is ' running away'. The longer they delay this matter, it will be more problematic and added that he don’t know under what law they have registered the FIR for Governor, because according to the Constitution they have immunity. Till the time he holds the position of Governor, the FIR should not take place. The Madhya Pradesh Governor has been asked to resign after he was named in an FIR or police complaint in connection with a multi-crore exam scam involving politicians and government officials and has been booked for corruption, misuse of his official position and cheating.

Congress leader Digvijay Singh has submitted a pen drive containing a spreadsheet and some phone numbers to the Special Investigation Team (SIT) in the Professional Examination Board scam. The SIT is monitoring the Special Task Force's probe into the scam. The scam involves the Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board or Vyapam, which holds the exams for positions like medical officers, constables, teachers and auditors for government departments. The candidates allegedly bribed government officials to make it to the list of those who cleared the test.
