Coal India reports 47.98 million tonnes of production in February 2015

Coal India, the world’s largest coal miner by output, has reported provisional production of 47.98 million tonnes in February 2015, as against target of 46.58 million tonnes. The company’s total off-take for the month of February stood at 43.17 million tonnes as against a target of 43.34 million tonnes.

Coal India is the world’s largest coal mining company. It also produces non-coking coal and coking coal of various grades for diverse applications.
