Suzlon commissions wind farm in Uruguay

Wind turbine maker Suzlon Energy has commissioned wind farm in Uruguay. The farm is the first of its kind joint venture between Brazil and Uruguay to harness wind energy. Suzlon is responsible for complete Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) and life-time service. The power generated from this project will be fed into Uruguay’s national grid to meet the region’s energy needs.

Suzlon Group comprises of Suzlon Energy and its subsidiaries, including Repower Systems SE. Suzlon Energy is leader in wind energy in the India, which is world’s fifth largest wind energy market. Its business model has range of services that include development, manufacturing, marketing, EPC project delivery and operations and maintenance of wind turbine generators around the world.
