Reliance Communications gains after Fitch assigns ratings to its bank facilities

RCOM is currently trading at Rs. 67.85, up by 1.60 points or 2.42% from its previous closing of Rs. 66.25 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 67.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 68.90 and Rs. 66.15 respectively. So far 11,36,000 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 156.90 on 10-Jun-2014 and a 52 week low of Rs. 65.40 on 02-Mar-2015.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 70.55 and Rs. 65.40 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 16,949.00 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 59.70% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 30.07% and 10.00% respectively.

Global credit rating agency, Fitch Ratings has assigned a Long-Term Foreign- and Local-Currency Issuer Default Ratings of ‘BB-‘ with stable outlook to Reliance Communications (RCOM).

Further, Moody’s Investors Services has also assigned a corporate family rating (CFR) of ‘Ba3’ with stable outlook to the company. This is the first time that Fitch and Moody’s have assigned ratings to the company.

Reliance Communications is India’s foremost and truly integrated telecommunications service provider. The company, with a customer base of about 150 million, including over 2.5 million individual overseas retail customers, ranks among the Top 4 Telecom companies in the world by number of customers in a single country.
