Usha Martin spurts on winning Brinda & Sasai block in the second set of auctions

Usha Martin is currently trading at Rs. 29.55, up by 1.00 points or 3.50 % from its previous closing of Rs. 28.55 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 29.20 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 30.55 and Rs. 28.95 respectively. So far 409841 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 47.40 on 26-May-2014 and a 52 week low of Rs. 21.25 on 13-Oct-2014.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 34.35 and Rs. 28.10 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 905.08 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 42.10 % while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 22.06 % and 20.80 % respectively.

Usha Martin won the Brinda & Sasai block in the second set of auctions that started on March 4, 2015. The block reserved for the non-power sector was won by Usha Martin at Rs 1,804 a tonne. Bidding for the block had begun at Rs 1,802 a tonne.

The block has geological reserves of 61.75 million tonnes and is in Jharkhand. The previous owner of the block was Abhijeet Infrastructure.
