GSFC soars on receiving Central Government approval to raise neem-coated urea production

Gujarat State Fertilizers & Chemicals (GSFC) is currently trading at Rs. 91.05, up by 1.65 points or 1.85% from its previous closing of Rs. 89.40 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 91.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 92.15 and Rs. 90.20 respectively. So far 66896 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 124.50 on 03-Nov-2014 and a 52 week low of Rs. 47.45 on 12-Mar-2014.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 92.15 and Rs. 85.10 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 3562.39 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 37.84% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 35.81% and 26.34% respectively.

GSFC has secured the approval of Central Government for increasing production of neem-coated urea to 100 percent from the current 35 percent.

The company in collaboration with agricultural universities in Gujarat, has been regularly conducting front-line demonstrations at farmers’ fields and results show that farm yields have increased depending upon crop and location.

GSFC is a leading manufacturer of quality products of Chemical Fertilizers and Industrial Products. The company’s manufacturing units is located at Kosamba, Sikka and Nandesari. It has marketing network spread across India in states like Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Haryana, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Punjab, Rajasthan, Daman and Uttar Pradesh.
