HSBC Global Investment sells stake in India Cements

HSBC Global Investment Funds has sold 0.46 per cent stake in India Cements through the open market. Post-sale, HSBC Global’s stake has come down to 2.72 per cent from 3.18 per cent. Earlier on March 27, Dreyfus Corporation of the US had sold 4.69 lakh shares of India Cement.

India Cements is largest manufacturer of cement in South India. India Cements owns 28% of the market share and is leader in south India. The cement manufacturer aims 35% market share. It has distribution network of 10,000 stockists.
