Gujarat Gas Company has entered into an agreement with BG India Energy Solutions (BGIESPL), for the purchase or re-gasified LNG (RLNG) volumes of up to 1.0 mmscmd (39,206 mmbtu/day) for the period from April 01, 2012 to December 31, 2012 on a firm basis. The company has entered into an agreement on February 09, 2012.
This contract, in addition to existing indigenous and RLNG gas sources, provides the company with the majority or the natural gas requirements for its markets during 2012.
Gujarat Gas Company, which is engaged in supply of gas to industrial, auto and house-hold consumers in Gujarat, gets nearly 75% of its requirements from the PMT fields through GAIL India.
