Tata Teleservices’ mobility and business services brand - Tata DOCOMO, is reportedly planning to double its turnover from rural areas of Tamil Nadu during the current fiscal. The company, fourth largest player in Tamil Nadu, has made a turnover of Rs 950 crore in the state, 90% of which from Pre-Paid connections, with rural areas accounting for 15%. As part of its growth plan, the company decided to take the number of distributors to 400 from the present 280 in rural areas in the next six months and the total in the state to 25,000 from 18,000.
