Videocon Industries surges as its telecom arm adds 2.30 lakh users in March

Videocon Industries is currently trading at Rs. 160.60, up by 2.05 points or 1.29% from its previous closing of Rs. 158.55 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 158.30 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 163.30 and Rs. 157.60 respectively. So far 45779 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 211.05 on 10-Jun-2014 and a 52 week low of Rs. 143.00 on 27-Mar-2015.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 163.95 and Rs. 154.80 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 5358.03 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 65.60% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 11.05% and 11.04% respectively.

Videocon Telecom, part of the diversified $4 billion Videocon Group, has added 2.30 lakh new mobile subscribers in March, 2015. Following the addition, the company’s total subscriber count stood at 71.33 lakh.

Videocon Industries, established two decades ago, is a global conglomerate. Videocon’s businesses consist of manufacturing, marketing and distribution of consumer electronics products and oil & gas extraction.
