NMDC declines on reducing iron ore prices

NMDC is currently trading at Rs 129.40, down by 4.35 points or 3.25% from its previous closing of Rs 133.75 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 130.20 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 130.20 and Rs. 127.70 respectively. So far 105333 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 196.15 on 06-Jun-2014 and a 52 week low of Rs. 123.00 on 26-Mar-2015.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 139.40 and Rs. 133.10 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 50748.36 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 80.00% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 16.74% and 3.26% respectively.

NMDC has reduced prices of iron ore fines by 20% or Rs 500 per tonne to Rs 1,960 per tonne and lump ore prices by 6.1% or Rs 200 per tonne to Rs 3,050 per tonne. The reduction in prices is effective from April 18, 2015.

NMDC is a state-controlled mineral producer of the Government of India. It is fully owned by the Government of India and is under administrative control of the Ministry of Steel.
