PM Modi vows to find solution to farmer suicides

Prime Minister Narendra Modi vowed that his government will find a solution to farmer suicides across India, sharing his grief over farmer Gajendra Singh taking his own life during a rally in the national capital. PM said while addressing the Lok Sabha that for years, the issue of farmers committing suicide has been a matter of great concern. It should be their determination to find a solution to this problem. The issue has been there for too long and they will take all good suggestions to stop it.

Modi said that there is nothing more important than the life of the farmer. Because of yesterday's incident, the grief in the country has been expressed here and he also shared this grief. They should all vow to work together and find a solution for this age old problem. They have to find solutions. The problem is old and widespread and the government will accept all suggestions and nothing more valuable than human life. He further called for suggestion to halt the spate of farmer suicides in the country.

PM said that they also have to see which wrong road they walked. What were the wrong steps in the past and now. He will never betray interests of farmers. He added that they are many parties but this is a huge nation and need to work together and therefore he welcomed any suggestion. Gajendra had committed suicide by hanging himself from a tree during an Aam Aadmi Party rally against the land Acquisition Bill in the national capital. As per reports, a suicide note was found that revealed the farmer, who had three children, was banished from his house after his crop was damaged. He took the extreme step because he had no means of support his family.
