Bharti Airtel flies high on plan to launch unlimited voice calling schemes

Bharti Airtel is currently trading at Rs. 402.90, up by 3.65 points or 0.91% from its previous closing of Rs. 399.25 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 396.55 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 403.50 and Rs. 396.55 respectively. So far 20474 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 425.70 on 13-Apr-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 304.00 on 09-May-2014.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 409.95 and Rs. 391.20 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 159596.20 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 65.37% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 25.43% and 9.19% respectively.

Bharti Airtel is planning to launch unlimited voice calling schemes for its broadband customers to boost its landline business. The company will come out with two plans offering unlimited local calls for Rs 49 per month and unlimited local and STD calls for Rs 99 per month.

The company has about 14.89 lakh broadband customers at the end of December last year. Airtel currently provides fixed-line telephone and broadband services for homes as well as offices in 87 cities across the country.
