Colgate Palmolive (India)’s employees have accepted the Voluntary Retirement Scheme (VRS) which was offered by the company. The compensation package offered under the VRS to the employees of the toothpowder manufacturing factory located at Aurangabad was consistent with the company’s caring principles.
Since all workmen accepted the offer under the said scheme, the toothpowder manufacturing operations at the Aurangabad factory have been discontinued effective May 05, 2015.
Further the discontinuation of operations at the above facility will have no impact on the company’s toothpowder business as the company has sufficient inventory and the alternatives to cater to the market demand.
