NMDC has inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Ministry of steel, Government of Chhattisgarh and Steel Authority of India (SAIL) to set-up ultra mega steel plant in Bastar Region in state of Chhattisgarh. The company has also inked MoU with SAIL, IRCON and Government of Chhattisgarh for development of railway line from Jagdalpur to Rowghat.
Besides, a MoU for Slurry Pipeline & Pellet Plant has also been inked by the company with Government of Chhattisgarh.
NMDC is a state-controlled mineral producer of the Government of India. It is fully owned by the Government of India and is under administrative control of the Ministry of Steel.
