Alstom T&D rises on bagging order worth Rs 226.60 crore from Power Grid

Alstom T&D India is currently trading at Rs. 483.00, up by 1.90 points or 0.39% from its previous closing of Rs. 481.10 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 482.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 497.60 and Rs. 476.80 respectively. So far 21324 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 656.40 on 04-Mar-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 257.00 on 12-May-2014.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 531.00 and Rs. 469.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 12277.43 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 75.00% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 16.19% and 8.81% respectively.

Alstom T&D India has been awarded a contract worth approximately Euro 34 million (Rs 226.60 crore) by Power Grid Corporation of India to supply two Gas-Insulated Substations (GIS). The two substations will be located at Betul in Madhya Pradesh and Naysari in Gujarat. Both substations will be completely manufactured in India, making this Power Grid’s first ‘Make in India’ 400 kV GIS.

The first 400/220 kV GIS substation constructed at Betul will transmit power generated from the Mouda Super Thermal Power Plant - II. The second installation at Naysari, will carry power generated at the Kakrapar Atomic Power Station. Both substations will feed power to the national grid.

The contract scope includes design, engineering, manufacturing, installation and commissioning of the GIS at Betul including supply and erection of two 400/220/33 kV, 315 MVA auto transformers. The Naysari substation, which currently has eleven GIS bays, will be extended to include two additional bays. All equipment will be manufactured and supplied from Alstom T&D India’s manufacturing facilities in India.
