Jubilant Life Sciences’ US-based arm Jubilant Discovery Services has entered into an agreement with Janssen Pharmaceutica NV to deliver pre-clinical candidates in the area of neuroscience to the Belgium-based firm. The agreement will cover an initial period of three years and will focus on multiple targets in the area of neuroscience.
According to the agreement, Janssen will transfer ongoing efforts on selected drug discovery targets to Jubilant and Jubilant will then carry out the research services and deliver pre-clinical candidates to Janssen for possible further development and commercialization. As per the deal in addition to research funding, Jubilant may also be eligible to receive payments at different intervals and royalties should Janssen successfully develop and commercialize the candidates.
The association will utilize Jubilant's global research network to include its new research facility in the US focused in the area of neuroscience, in addition to its India-based research centres.
