Varun Shipping Company has reported results for third quarter ended December 31, 2011.

The company has posted a rise of 597.97% in its net profit at Rs 82.50 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2011 as compared to Rs 11.82 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However total income has decreased by 8.56% at Rs 202.89 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 221.89 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2010.

Varun Shipping is the leading Indian private sector shipping company that owns and operates vessels in the hydrocarbon sector.
