Asian markets trade higher in early deals on Tuesday

Most of the Asian equity benchmarks are trading up in the early deals on Tuesday, on the back of rally in Chinese shares and Wall Street's record close offset euro worries over Greece's fiscal woes. The Japanese market gained, following the overnight gains on Wall Street. Additionally, a weaker yen boosted exporters’ stocks. Among the other markets in the Asian region, Shanghai, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong and Taiwan are up with modest gains. While, Singapore, Indonesia and Malaysia are marginally lower.

Nikkei 225 gained 140.45 points or 0.71 % to 20,030.72, KOSPI Index spurted 9.23 points or 0.44 % to 2,122.95, Taiwan Weighted soared 92.62 points or 0.96 % to 9,698.72, Shanghai Composite surged by 116.71 points or 2.72 % to 4,400.20 and Hang Seng was up by 115.62 points or 0.42 % to 27,706.87.

On the flip side, FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI contracted by 8.48 points or 0.47 % to 1,815.02, Straits Times declined by 6.06 points or 0.18 % to 3,453.51 and Jakarta Composite was down by 8.25 points or 0.16 % to 5,229.56.
