JSW Steel’s crude steel production rises 2% in April 2015

JSW Steel’s crude steel production in April 2015 grew 2% and stood at 10.11 lakh tonnes (LT) as compared to 9.90 LT in April 2014. The production of rolled products (long) decreased by 19% to 1.33 LT compared to 1.64 LT in last year. Meanwhile, the production of rolled products (flat) during the month drop 1% to 7.65 LT as compared to last year’s level of 7.76 LT.

JSW Steel is part of the JSW group which, in turn, is a part of the O P Jindal group. JSW Steel is one of the largest steel manufacturing companies in India having units in Karnataka and Maharashtra producing crude steel, long steel and flat steel products.
