Shoppers Stop's wholly owned subsidiary Crossword Bookstores has closed one ‘Crossword’ franchisee store at Bengaluru. With the closing of this store, there are now 88 'Crossword' stores. Recently, the company opened one 'Shoppers Stop' store at Spaze Mall in Gurgaon.

Shoppers Stop is engaged in the retailing business. It runs a chain of departmental stores with brands including Shopper’s Stop, Home Stop, Crossword, Cafes and Restaurants etc.
