Alstom T&D India to supply transformers for 765 kV Power Grid substations

Alstom T&D India has been awarded a contract worth approximately €16 million by Power grid Corporation of India (Power Grid) to supply ten 765 kV 500 MVA 1-ph auto transformers. These will be installed at two locations, the 765 kV Gas Insulated Substation (GIS) situated at Vemagiri, Andhra Pradesh and 765 kV Air Insulated substation (AIS) at Vindhyachal, Uttar Pradesh. All equipment will be manufactured and supplied from Alstom T&D India's world class manufacturing facility at Vadodara.

Alstom T&D India is part of Alstom Grid, a global player in electrical grids. The company’s India operations account for over 13% of overall revenues garnered by Alstom Grid’s global operations. Apart from India business, other major contributors are the operations in France, the US, Germany and China.
