Nestle India declines on receiving recall order from FSSAI

Nestle India is currently trading at Rs. 5658.60, down by 338.50 points or 5.64% from its previous closing of Rs. 5997.10 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 5876.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 5876.00 and Rs. 5636.00 respectively. So far 33812 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 7499.95 on 10-Mar-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 4828.00 on 06-Jun-2014.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 6987.45 and Rs. 5718.20 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 54764.13 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 62.76 % while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 16.99 % and 20.24 % respectively.

Nestle India has received order of Food Standards Safety Authority Of India (FSSAI), New Delhi, dated June 05, 2015, to withdraw and recall all the variants of its MAGGI Noodles from the market.

The states of Delhi, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Jammu & Kashmir and Uttarakhand had earlier banned Maggi after concerns were raised over the presence of lead beyond permissible levels and monosodium glutamate (MSG).
