State-owned Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) has commenced construction work on its proposed 4 MW solar power project at Muttam village in Nagapattinam (Tamil Nadu). The company is setting up the project with the objective of generating green energy so as to reduce carbon footprint. The company has entrusted the construction work to Tata Power Solar Systems.
