Idea Cellular, one of the biggest cellular carrier of the country, has added nearly 20 lakh users in Madhya Pradesh (MP) circle in FY15. The company has recorded highest year-on-year (Y-o-Y) growth of nearly 4 percentage points in Revenue Market Share (RMS) which stood at 39.6 percent in Q4 FY15. Apart from MP circle, the company has also achieved similar milestone in neighboring Maharashtra & Goa circle.
Idea Cellular, an AV Birla group company, provides Global System for Mobile communications (GSM)-based wireless service at the pan-India level, it is present in all 22 telecom circles. The company has added 12.59 lakh new mobile subscribers in May, 2015. Following the addition, the company’s total subscriber count stood at 16.04 crore with a market share of 22.40%.
