BJP asks Congress to introspect senior leaders' statements before tweeting

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) alleged that the Congress Party should first introspect the statements of senior leaders before tweeting or arranging for press conferences and raising allegations against the Centre. Highlighting the developmental work undertaken under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi for the progress of the nation, BJP leader Nalin Kohli said that Congress should introspect about what their senior leaders like H R Bharadwaj is saying. In any case, within the country a lot of work is happening. PM Modi is working on the economy, even the industry is going up. There are job opportunities, inflation is down. Whether schemes like 'Beti Padhao Beti Bachao', or social security schemes, or insurance schemes, or financial inclusion, work is being done and they should be happy if Indians are benefitting.

Kohli added that if they have something substantial to raise, they have appropriate forums. It would be a misconception to believe that only press conferences with only allegations or tweets cannot be a solution, cannot be an alternative to working for the welfare of the people. Earlier in the day, Congress leader Digvijay Singh had tweeted saying the 'Digital India' initiative launched under PM was originally a United Progressive Alliance (UPA) scheme - the National e-Governance Plan - and the NDA Government has only renamed it.
