Nestle India’s instant noodles Maggi has been cleared by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and the company is making logistical arrangements to resume exports. The CFIA’s investigation did not find any health risk associated with the consumption of Maggi brand noodle products sold in Canada.

Canada is the fifth country after the UK, Singapore, Australia and New Zealand, to say that Maggi is safe for consumption. Maggi noodles were banned by India's food regulator on June 5 after a high amount of lead and chemical monosodium glutamate were found in it.

Nestle India has its presence in India for around nine decades, making it one of the oldest company in India. Nestle has created brands like Nestle Milkmaid, Nestle Everyday, Maggi Noodles, Maggi Soups, Polo, Kit Kat, Nescafe and many more.
