This is the first solar power plant in Tamil Nadu and third in the country to get REC accreditation, the other two being Jain Irrigation’s 8.5 MW plant in Maharashtra and M&B Switchgear‘s 2 MW plant in Madhya Pradesh (MP).
The REC accreditation implies that the company will now get market trade-able renewable energy certificates for the power generated from this plant, in Coimbatore, which is likely to start pumping electricity into the grid next month.
