DB Corp gains despite reporting 16% fall in Q1 consolidated net profit

DB Corp is currently trading at Rs. 316.00, up by 2.75 points or 0.88% from its previous closing of Rs. 313.25 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 317.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 317.00 and Rs. 315.80 respectively. So far 149 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 422.95 on 01-Jan-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 303.00 on 09-Jun-2015.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 335.00 and Rs. 306.50 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 5822.00 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 69.95% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 26.27% and 3.78% respectively.

D. B. Corp’s net profit has declined by 15.30% at Rs 67.12 crore for first quarter ended June 30, 2015 as compared to Rs 79.25 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2014. Its total income has decreased by 3.72% to Rs 480.122 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 498.65 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

On the consolidated basis, the company has reported 16.01% fall in its net profit after taxes & Minority interest at Rs 66.45 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 79.12 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company has decreased by 3.71% at Rs 480.19 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 498.69 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2014.
