Bharti Airtel gains on entering into exclusive agreement with Orange

Bharti Airtel is currently trading at Rs. 436.30, up by 6.85 points or 1.60% from its previous closing of Rs. 429.45 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 438.50 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 440.00 and Rs. 434.25 respectively. So far 4,958 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 442.75 on 09-Jul-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 334.55 on 21-Jul-2014.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 440.00 and Rs. 419.70 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 1,74,406.00 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 65.37% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 25.43% and 9.19% respectively.

Bharti Airtel, a leading global telecommunications company, has entered into an exclusive agreement with Orange, to explore the possible acquisition by Orange of Airtel’s subsidiaries in Burkina Faso, Chad, Congo Brazzaville and Sierra Leone. There is no certainty of any binding agreement as a result of these discussions.
