Persistent Systems rises as its arm inks agreement to acquire Aepona Holdings

Persistent Systems is currently trading at Rs 643.65, up by 9.30 points or 1.47% from its previous closing of Rs 634.35 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs 640.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs 646.40 and Rs 640.00 respectively. So far 3542 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 960.83 on 02-Jan-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 577.00 on 29-Jun-2015.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 671.50 and Rs. 623.55 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 5150.40 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 38.53% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 31.35% and 30.12% respectively.

Persistent Systems’ Persistent Systems Inc. (PSI), a California corporation and subsidiary of the company, has signed an agreement with Intel Overseas Funding Corporation to acquire the stock of Aepona Holdings, a Republic of Ireland corporation. PSI will also acquire five subsidiaries of Aepona Holdings that come along with its holdings. Under this agreement, PSI will acquire certain IP and related rights for Aepona products, which will be managed under Persistent’s Accelerite Brand.
