Mahanagar Telephone Nigam (MTNL) has added 50,180 new mobile subscribers in January. Following the said addition, the company’s total subscriber count stood at 54.90 lakh users.
Besides, Idea Cellular, India's fourth-biggest cellular carrier has added 17.50 lakh mobile subscribers in January while Bharti Airtel, a leading global telecommunications company with operations in 19 countries across Asia and Africa, has added 13.00 lakh mobile subscribers in January.
MTNL was set up by the Government of India to upgrade the quality of telecom services, expand the telecom network, and introduce new services and to raise revenue for telecom development needs of India's key metros -- Delhi and Mumbai.
