Alstom T&D India secures contract worth Rs 648 million from Power Grid Corporation

Alstom T&D India, formerly Areva T&D India, has been awarded a contract worth Rs 648 million by Power Grid Corporation of India (PGCIL). The contract awarded is for 765 kv Circuit Breakers. This contract by PGCIL is to procure 64 numbers of Circuit Breakers for various 765 kV sub-stations located at Dharamjaygarh, Jabalpur, Bhiwani, Satna (Extension), Gwalior (Extension) and Rajgarh Pooling (near Kotra).

A leader in the field of extra and ulta high voltage circuit breakers, Alstom Grid is the first manufacturer  to localize circuit breakers up to 765 kv and beyond with spring  operating mechanism. Alstom Grid is the leading supplier of circuit breakers in the range of 72.5Kv to 800 Kv with a strong market share.

Areva T&D India is a leading player in the Power Transmission and Distribution business upto Extra High Voltage levels (765 kV) and is prepared to meet the demands for equipments and services even at Ultra High Voltage levels (1200 kV).
