BPCL plans to shut 90,000 bpd crude unit for 10 days: Report

BPCL is reportedly planning to shut a 90000 barrels per day (bpd) crude unit at its 190,000 bpd Kochi refinery for about 10 days. The company will shut this unit from September 26, 2015. The company will link new units during the shutdown period with the crude unit. The company is also planning to shut a 1.5 million tonnes a year fluidised catalytic cracker for about 8-10 days along with the crude unit.

BPCL is into exploration, production and retailing of petroleum and petrol related products. The retail business unit of BPCL is into marketing of petrol, diesel and kerosene.
