Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari said Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi is making banal and pointless allegations against External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj. Everything will be clear if they allow Sushma ji to speak. He asked why congress is afraid of discussion in the house.

Gadkari added that the Congress Party doesn't want the development of the country because they have been completely unsuccessful. So, they are following the policy where no bill is passed and no development takes place. They have been making false allegations. He thinks that the people of India don't take them seriously.

Earlier, Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi said that in order to let the Parliament function, Sushma Swaraj should let the country know how much money has been credited to her account by former IPL chief Lalit Modi. Gandhi further added that they also agree that the Parliament must function, but they have raised a basic issue. They have said that, Sushma Swaraj ji, the Rajasthan Chief Minister and the Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister have carried out, in some cases, illegal acts.
