The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) took a jibe at Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung's decision to stay the circular on changing the land -related circle rates for farmers issued by the Delhi Government and alleged that he has taken this decision on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's instructions. AAP spokesperson Ashutosh said that after the Land Acquisition Bill, this step by the Lieutenant Governor, instructed by Narendra Modi, for circle rates which was to benefit farmers of Delhi, should not go ahead.

Ashutosh also alleged that this is another example of how Narendra Modi and his government, and the BJP is anti-farmer and doesn't want anything which would benefit the farmers. He added that it has been a very long-pending demand, the farmers wanted that since property rates have gone up, but the circle rate still remains the same. So, it should be increased by four to five percent, and that's what the AAP government has done.

Ashutosh accused Jung of acting as the NDA Government's agent. He said that Lieutenant Governor should stop behaving like an agent. He should stop staying any and every act of the Aam Aadmi Party. Ashutosh added that he would like to request to AAP Government and Council of Ministers to ignore the step taken by the Lieutenant Governor and go ahead with the decision which they have taken.
