Hindustan Petroleum Corporation reports over 34 fold jump in Q1 net profit

Hindustan Petroleum Corporation has reported results for first quarter ended June 30, 2015.

The company has reported around 34 fold jump in its net profit at Rs 1588.04 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2015 as compared to Rs 46.04 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, the company’s total income has decreased by 12.45% to Rs 52034.17 crore for the quarter under review, from Rs 59435.36 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

HPCL operates two major refineries producing a wide variety of petroleum fuels and specialties, one in Mumbai (west coast) of 6.5 million metric tonnes per annum (MMTPA) capacity and the other in Vishakapatnam (east coast).
