Centre serving interests of Big Corporates: Gogoi

13 Aug 2015 Evaluate

Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi accused the NDA government as the Centre of serving the interests of big industries and corporate houses. Gogoi said that he had predicted during the last Lok Sabha campaign that big corporates would run the government if Modi come to power.

Stating that his prediction turned out to be true, Gogoi said that it is a kind of corporate rule from back door. Gogoi added that the Central government frames and formulates its policies to cater to the needs of the big industrial houses, rather than the poor people of the country. Asserting that the Central government wanted to amend the Land Acquisition Bill at the behest of the corporates, he said that this is a pro-corporate government. Such type of dispensation is a threat to democracy.
