Steel Authority of India has reported results for first quarter ended June 30, 2015.
The company has reported a net loss of Rs 321.64 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2015 as compared to a net profit of Rs 529.88 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. The company’s total income has decreased by 16.12% to Rs 9677.05 crore for the quarter under review, from Rs 11536.98 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
SAIL is India's largest steel producing company. The company is among the five Maharatnas of the country's Central Public Sector Enterprises. The company has five integrated steel plants, three special plants, and one subsidiary in different parts of the country.
