India's oil imports surge 24.7% Y-o-Y in July: PPAC

India’s oil demand rose to 14.03 million tonnes in July, according to Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC).

India's oil imports in July surged 24.7% to about 4.19 million barrels per day from a year earlier. Imports of oil products leaped 27.5%, while exports rose 18.2%.Fuel consumption rose an annual 5.52% in July, driven by higher gasoline sales which reflected a surge in passenger vehicles sales, data showed.
