Steel Authority of India (SAIL) is currently trading at Rs. 49.90, up by 0.80 points or 1.63% from its previous closing of Rs. 49.10 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 50.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 50.40 and Rs. 49.60 respectively. So far 136023 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 90.70 on 28-Nov-2014 and a 52 week low of Rs. 47.10 on 25-Aug-2015.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 57.20 and Rs. 47.10 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 20590.67 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 75.00%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 21.41% and 3.59% respectively. 

In a bid to reach out to household consumers of its branded Salem Stainless kitchen and tableware collection, SAIL has launched its first ‘Apna SAIL Salem Stainless Shoppe’ in Kerala. The company has taken this initiative two days before Onam, the state’s biggest festival, with the opening of an outlet at Kuttookan shopping complex in upmarket Kannur.

SAIL is India's largest steel producing company. The company is among the five Maharatnas of the country's Central Public Sector Enterprises. The company has five integrated steel plants, three special plants, and one subsidiary in different parts of the country.
