Indian coffee exports rise over higher demand for robusta

Indian coffee exports have recorded a marginal increase on account of demand for robusta coffee. This was despite a sluggish trend in the world market and a general decline in prices. India exported 2,20,113 tons of coffee during the period from January 1 to August 25, advanced 1% year-on-year

India's robusta shipments went up 22% while the arabica exports slumped 33%. India exports 70% of its coffee output of over 3 lakh tons.
