Physical rubber prices improved on Tuesday

Physical rubber prices improved on Tuesday on account of covering purchases at lower levels. Spot prices for RSS-4 variety surged to Rs 112.50/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 112/ kg; while the RSS-5 variety jumped to 108/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 107/kg.

In the futures market, contract of September delivery weakened to Rs 113.90 compared to its previous closing of Rs 115.57, while October delivery closed at Rs 113.87 compared to its previous close of Rs 115.19 on the National Multi Commodity Exchange (NMCE).
