Binani Industries climbs on plans to restructure Goa Glass Fibre investments

Binani Industries is currently trading at Rs 116.00, up by 0.90 points or 0.78% from its previous closing of Rs 115.10 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 117.75 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 117.75 and Rs. 113.20 respectively.

The BSE group 'T' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 230.00 on 07-Apr-2011 and a 52 week low of Rs. 88.00 on 22-Dec-2011.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 121.00 and Rs. 112.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 335.03 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 51.28% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 6.92% and 41.81% respectively.

Binani Industries has received an approval for the restructuring of 49% of its investments in Goa Glass Fibre by way of divestment to one of its subsidiaries. The board at its meeting held on February 29, 2012 has approved for the same. However, the restructuring is subject to the requisite approvals as may be required.

Binani Industries is the holding company of the $1.6-billion Braj Binani Group. The business portfolio of Binani Industries includes sectors like cement, zinc, glass-fiber and downstream composite products.
