Congress spokesman Sandeep Dikshit said that the BJP is giving double meaning statements on the issue of One Rank One Pension (OROP) for ex-servicemen. Dikshit said that the Manohar Parrikar has made a dangerous statement that the OROP comes before Bihar elections. He said "I have yet to see a government which is only focused on elections and can do anything to win an election".

The Congress accused the BJP of changing statements. Dikshit added that on the one hand, the finance minister says that the ex-servicemens' demands are unreasonable, and on other hand, the PM promises that their demands will be met. Defence Minister keeps saying that demands are linked to the elections.

Criticising the BJP's statements, Dikshit said that the centre is confused. The OROP scheme has been a long-standing demand of nearly three million ex-servicemen and war widows in the country.
